Frequently Asked Questions on Donations & 80G

Under Section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act 1961, 50% of the donated amount is deductible from your taxable income. For example, if you donate ₹10,000, your taxable income is reduced by ₹5,000, saving you tax according to your applicable income tax bracket (up to 30% + cess).

As per Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) notifications, every registered NGO in India must submit Form 10BD annually containing donors' PAN, name, and address. This enables the Income Tax Department to automatically generate Form 10BE and credit the 80G deduction into your pre-filled Annual Information Statement (AIS) and ITR.

Immediately upon completing your payment via Razorpay, an official, serialized 80G donation receipt is generated on screen for instant printing and PDF download. Additionally, our administration team emails the verified digital receipt to your registered email address within 24-48 hours.

NRIs holding an Indian Passport and an Indian Bank / NRO account in INR are welcome to donate under Indian regulations. Under FCRA regulations, donations in foreign currencies or from foreign passport holders cannot be accepted online without an active FCRA clearance.
